LOCATION/Attractions

Lake Travis

The Tram House is nestled in the breathtaking Texas Hill Country overlooking the main basin of Lake Travis, providing access to stunning views of the sparkling blue water, marina facilities and boat ramps, and summer weather for most of the year. When you’ve soaked in all the tranquility you can stand while lounging on one of the house’s three decks, take a hillside stroll to one of the three parks within walking distance: The house is conveniently located between Hippie Hollow and Bob Wentz Windy Point Park; the rugged shoreline of Hippie Hollow provides ample beds of rock on which to sun yourself in this “clothing-optional” park, while Windy Point Park offers a more “family-friendly” area on a grass lawn under shade trees that frame the open waterfront of the lake.

One of the chief attractions of this location is its proximity to restaurants and entertainment! For a casual night close to home, watch the spectacular sunset from the patio of the famous restaurant, The Oasis on Lake Travis, situated just two miles from the Tram House, or head Tram House Patioonly 25 minutes into downtown Austin, the Live Music Capital of the World, to hear some local tunes along the celebrated 6th Street.

For convenience, the Tram House is located approximately two miles from both FM 620 and FM 2222, the two nearest motorways, and just 28 miles from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
